Welcome note
Mbanefo Hospital is a specialist gynaecology centre located in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. It cares for women with general gynaecological and related problems. Enugu Fertility Centre is located within the hospital and focusses on the special needs of women experiencing difficulty in conception. Whist the hospital has been in existence since 1999, the fertility centre commenced services in 2008. Since inception, the number of pregnancies achieved and babies delivered through various assisted reproductive techniques available in the centre speak for themselves and require no elaboration.

Our mission: To provide a comprehensive but internationally acceptable assisted conception services to couples experiencing difficulty in conceiving.

Our Goal: To achieve the above using evidence based scientific methods as is the norm all over the world.

Our success rate: Traditionally, medical science has always discouraged advertisement. Ironically and for inexplicable reasons, reproductive medicine has not respected this tradition giving room for a plethora of statistics from various centres all competing on the Internet. This makes it difficult for clients to make choices. In our own case, we shall follow medical tradition by not putting down specific figures. All we can say is that our pregnancy rate compares favourably with the best centres across the globe and this can be verified.
It is well known that the cumulative pregnancy rate increases with the number of trials. It is also well known that the pregnancy rate decreases with the maternal age except in cases where the older patients opt to use donor eggs from younger patients.
It is also noteworthy that an IVF procedure can fail in one "excellent" centre and succeed in a "less known" one. It is only what God decides.
Clients ought to know that the Internet is like a newspaper with truths, half truths and outright lies. They therefore ought to be more discriminatory in accepting information that can not be verified or is exceptionally out of range.

Cost of treatment: This varies with the type of procedure and details are usually discussed at counselling sessions, during which the peculiarities of each case are discussed. Payments are usually made through banks in not more than two instalments. All payments whether done once or instalmentally must be completed before commencement of treatment. Similarly, payments made by cheque must clear before commencement of treatment. Any refund of money paid prior to treatment attracts a 20% administrative charge. There is no refund of money in the event of failure or where a client withdraws against medical advice midway in a treatment cycle.

Our Team: This consists of highly qualified and experienced professionals in reproductive medicine working with state-of-the-art equipment. The team is led by an international scholar.
